2013 Cape Homemakers Expo

If you love visiting expos to find ideas to help you create your dream home, you need to visit the 2013 Cape Homemakers Expo at the Cape Town International Convention Centre!

Taking place from 29 August to 1 September 2013, the exhibition will showcase the latest trends in home décor, home improvements and lifestyle trends from the finest product and service providers in the country.

Homemakers will find everything from the latest paint techniques and furnishings to the latest and greatest kitchen appliances. Whether you’re planning a large-scale makeover of your home or just hunting for a few décor accessories, this expo has it all, enough to inspire you to turn your house into a designer home!

Some of the highlights of the show include:

• Alfresco Living for all your outdoor living space needs.
• D’VINE Life will be showcasing wonderful wines, cheeses, olive oils, tapenades, toffees and more.
• InVogue will be exhibiting a collection of room settings and décor ideas to inspire homemakers.
• Experts will be sharing their knowledge at the home DIY Workshop, giving you tips on building, fixing, recycling and other home improvement ideas.
• Make sure to visit the newest feature at the expo – What’s it Worth – Antique Appraisals to have your family heirlooms assessed by Ashbeys Galleries for free.
• If you love handcrafted goodies, an ARTISANaffair is one stand you must visit for the latest in local handmade craft, décor and art.

Visiting all of the wonderful exhibition stands at the expo can certainly be hungry work! Not to worry, there will be 5 restaurants to cater to all tastes, including Nap Living’s restaurant area serving Asian-inspired noodle dishes and coffee.

Other restaurants include Incanda restaurant serving delicious burgers and salads, My Pretty Vintage will cater to the sweet tooth, while Supreme Upholstery will be offering sushi, oysters, wine and champagne.

There will also be Food Trucks by Limoncello and Die Wors-Rol (for a great gourmet “wors-rol” or hotdog).
